GPT Wet scrubbers are highly efficient & effective in neutralizing toxic flue gas from all types of Boiler & Furnace emissions. Its high efficiency of spray nozzles, fine atomisation of water droplets together with good designing & engineering along with good aesthetics makes it a unique product. The Scrubbers are connected with a single Centrifugal Blower for efficient & optimum suction of the gases. Other customized solutions are also available based on various parameters viz. material thickness, material of construction (MS/SS-304/SS-316). We can offer Venturi, Packed bed, impingement & Spray tower type Scrubbers. Wet scrubber designs such as spray towers, venturis, plate towers, and packed beds can be used. Considering operational issues such as scale buildup, plugging, etc., industry adopt simple scrubbers such as spray towers. However, these spray towers however, require a higher liquid-to gas ratio requirement for equivalent SO2 removal than other absorber designs. Scrubbing reagents: Limestone and sodium hydroxide can be used as alkaline scrubbing reagents. Range starts from 5000 m3/hr. to 100000 m3/hr.
SO2 Absorption: SO2 is absorbed when the flue gas is intercepted by tiny droplets of slurry in the absorber. Water in the slurry captures the SO2, changes it into a liquid sulphur-based acid. The scrubbed gases are then drawn into a cyclonic separator through a 90-degree flooded elbow. At the cyclonic separator gases and liquid droplets separation occurs.
